Accredited by the engineering accreditation commission of 教唆, the ECE department offers baccalaureate degree programs in both Computer 英格ineering and 电 英格ineering. 的 Bachelor of Science in Computer 英格ineering degree offers two majors: Computer 英格ineering major 和建模 & 模拟 英格ineering major. 的 programs are taught on campus, and the computer engineering majors are available to distance learning students. Students in each program get to select technical electives and they can choose them to form an area of specialization.

In addition to strong academic programs, the ECE department has a proven record of accomplishment in funded research and scholarly works. 的 department consistently ranks in the top 25 percent in research expenditures among all U.S. schools ranked by National Science Foundation (NSF). It is home to the Applied 研究 Center (ARC) wherein our faculty are engaged in cutting-edge research on materials and devices. 的 department has strong ties to the world-renowned Frank Reidy Center for 生物 (CBE), where ECE faculty are working on innovative ways to use pulsed electric fields and low-temperature atmospheric-pressure plasma to develop innovative medical therapies.
