Old Dominion University's next Science Pub will have a different focus from the traditional faculty speakers. This year marks the fifth Science Pub Lightning Talks in partnership with the 研究生院. The event, scheduled for 7 p.m. April 7 at Smartmouth Brewing Co. in Norfolk, challenges graduate students to explain their research in timed talks of five minutes. Attendees are asked to 注册 4月6日前.
The event is held in conjunction with 研究生 Student Appreciation Week and will be emceed by Robert Wojtowicz, vice provost and dean of the 研究生院.
Speakers include:
- Lindsay Ball, human movement sciences
- Ana Dreab, chemistry
- Saige Hill, public administration and policy
- Meaghan Mozingo, humanities
- Adenrele Oludiran, chemistry
"研究生 students at Old Dominion University are actively engaged in cutting-edge and impactful scholarship," said Bryan Porter, associate dean and professor at the 研究生院. "Their initiatives and energy, supported by committed faculty, contribute to generating important new knowledge and creativity vital for the growth of disciplines and the University. The 研究生院 is proud of their efforts and want them to receive as much well-earned attention as possible."
