ODU 同性恋文化研究 is an endowment geared towards raising money for the proposed Post-Doctorate position in 同性恋文化研究 at bet8体育娱乐入口.

The position will be administratively housed in the Humanities Institute, but rotated across departments in the 文学院 & 信 according to the scholar's area of expertise.

The selected candidate would be responsible for teaching a 1/1-course load (one class in the Fall semester and one in the Spring semester). Several courses that emphasize LBGT Studies are already being offered:

Foundations of Queer Studies: Sexualities, Identities, and Perspectives (WMST 395), began in Fall 2011 by Cathleen Rhodes, is an interdisciplinary study of LGBTQ experiences. 它向学生们介绍了个人, 文化, and political aspects of queer life while examining social forces such as heteronormativity, 性别的社会建构, and homophobia and their impact on queer lives.
